The Golf Club at Castle Hills golf course first opened for play on June 10, 1999. The course was designed by Jay Morrish.
Castle Hills golf course was built on rolling terrain that has incorporated in the layout large lakes and wetland areas of native grasses and wildflowers. Each hole is designed to compliment the natural lay of the land, with its streams, lakes and 60-foot elevation changes.
Whether playing from the Tour Tees or the Forward Tees, this course requires as much precision as it does power, as the closer you play to the fairway hazards, the better your angle to the green. The course can challenge the tour-caliber player and still provide an enjoyable experience for the novice golfer. It is a course that accomodates all levels of golfers.
If your up for the challenge and are a low single digit handicap, The Golf Club At Castle Hills plays to 7,152 yards from their Tour tees for a par of 72. At this distance, the course rating is 74.3 and the slope rating is 139.
Tour tees: 7,152 yards, 75.7/147
Championship tees: 6,607 yards, 72.9/140
Preferred tees: 6,191 yards, 70.9/131
Forward tees: 5,481 yards, 71.5/129
Junior tees: 5,064 yards,

Played on a very wet day and chose the wrong tees. That said, the layout was very good and the conditions were reasonable other than the fact that several greens had spotty grass on them. A very strong course from the middle tees, especially on a wet day. Beautiful clubhouse with great views. Staff was ppleasant and good to deal with.

It's a quality course but the price tag to me is the only deciding factor. There's other courses equivelant in the area that are not as pricey.

First time playing. I enjoyed the course very much. Very scenic. Fairways were nice. Greens were in good shape. Would like to have seen the cart girl a little more often. Twice in 18 holes, on a hot day, is not enough.

I played this course twice this month. I really like the course although the greens still need some work.
